Looking for a top-notch WordPress developer with extensive knowledge of the WordPress   infrastructure and ecosystem to help us create and launch stunning interactive websites with a focus on user experience and customer journey. 

This position requires solid experience with WordPress backend development, frontend responsive design, and an understanding of digital marketing automation to create websites that attract, convert and delight a visitor. 

The ideal candidate for this position should be highly motivated to work on projects from conception to implementation, designing and developing, and providing guidance on technical issues. 

As a WordPress Developer you will be responsible for development, API integrations and custom functionality as well as the launch process of new websites and landing pages. This includes communicating with the domain, hosting, and overseeing our web care support team. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Build a WordPress websites using a starter template and fully customize the design based on existing client brand guidelines
• Develop responsive WordPress websites from custom design files using a page builder (ie. Beaver Builder)
• Research, select, install, configure and customize WordPress plugins (ie. WooCommerce, MemberPress and LearnDash)
• Integrate website with email and marketing platforms (ie. MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, Hubspot)
• Perform quality assurance testing of websites 
• Create client training videos and workflow documentation
• Setup hosting environment and/or migrate website from another hosting company
• Manage domain transfers, domain nameservers and DNS records
• Configure and troubleshoot Hosting DNS, caching, CDN, and firewalls issues
• Update client websites such as adding content, posting blogs, and adding/updating images
• Manage support email inbox and create support tickets for appropriate team members
• Assist with outlining requirements and workflows for custom development needs of clients
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendor for assistance with custom development projects and technical support for client websites

Education and Experience:

• 3 years of experience as a WordPress developer who has also launched websites
• 3 years of experience in project management and account coordination
• Extensive experience with WordPress core platform and page builders such as Beaver Builder, Elementor, Visual Composer, Divi, Genesis
• Extensive experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3 and modern web standards 
• Proficiency with photo and video editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Understanding of on-page technical SEO best practices
• BA degree in Computer Science or relevant field

• Must be available during normal business hours. Normal business hours are 9am to 5pm CT unless a flexible schedule is arranged and approved
